In December, David's foundation entered the Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge. Dave's tree was decked out with lots of little canvases created by some friends in response to the challenge "Show Us Your Heart." In February, the collection of canvases will be part of a show and special event at LabourLove Gallery in downtown Durham!

Beth's Instructions
What inspires you? What do you love? How do you make a difference in your home, your work, your communities? How can you show that in a fun way on a tiny canvas?
Fill a 6”x 6” or 4”x 4” canvas with color, sparkle, photos, painting, drawing, collage...any way that creatively shows us your heart.
Don’t think you’re an artist? Find an artist friend to play with and collaborate. Have a favorite photo and don’t know how to make it into HEART art? Find a creative friend to help you get it on the canvas. Maybe make it be a family or team project.
DO NOT sign your art on the front! Instead, please type the artist(s) name(s) on the back, along with the title, on a piece of card stock, and staple to the back of the wooden stretcher frame of the canvas. (see below for WHY no names on the front)

Each unsigned painting will be for “sale” for a suggested $20 donation to Big Dave’s Big Gift. You get a chance to “purchase” art from well known artists whose work sells for hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars or you can buy your own! You’ll see the name of the artist AFTER your “purchase.” Surprise!!!!
