I was one of the students at Easley Elementary school who made posters and loved hanging out with David. He was so nice. I know everyone will miss him.

I went to school with Dave and he was one of the sweetest souls I've had the pleasure of meeting. He was the type of person that made the world a better place and it touches my heart that he found a way to continue to do so even after God called him home. He was and continues to be in my heart an incredible person and I know that as an angel he will still pass on the blessings.

Today has been a beautiful day. The sun was shining and God blessed with a special visit from Suzanne Turner today at the Durham Post Office. I got to know of David's spirit, faith and courage, through this mother and through this he will always be alive and smiling on the lives of others. My own son, Curtis, had a cord blood transplant January 14, 2010 and through ordinary acts I met a miracle today. Suzanne touch my heart today and gave me a blessing. The Lord has given us beautiful boys and the faith of a mustard seed. I have learned on my journey that faith is not a word, well, how silly of course it IS a word. But is also a way of life. Faith is not truely faith until you give it ALL to God. You can't hang on to what you think you can do yourself or what you feel comfortable with. You give it ALL to Him and He will take care of everything. He will use us the way He wants us in His plan and we will find the greatest peace and comfort in that if we only let it happen. Thank you, David, for findng your faith and gifting it to many other lives. You didn't have long on Earth, but you made more of a difference than others who have been here 100 years. God bless your family and the new babies on the way and all that your foundation touches. Thank you, Suzanne for sharing so much with me this morning. I had no idea what I gift I would get to return home to Curtis with...With a mother's love and faith.... Patricia Stillwell
