When Big
Dave visited with Team Turner on Easley Elementary School's playground,
he asked fifth graders to try to slap him five. David, 6'10," a long,
lanky arm lifted to the sky, would subsequently bend down to greet each
student. Toward the end of the visit, David received an enthusiastic,
unexpected response. A small, wiry boy stepped back to give himself room
for a running start, threw himself into motion, and scrambled right up
... David. Wonder how high that five was!
