About Us
perseverance - character - hope
Our Mission

The David Turner Lymphoma Foundation, Inc., also known as "Big Dave’s Big Gift," is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit public charity. We assist in funding hematological stem cell transplants for those demonstrating financial need and providing opportunities that engender healthful and productive living.

Assistance Given Locally 2011

UNC: A cutting-edge Digital Art Therapy pilot program serving patients confined to the bone marrow transplant unit of UNC Cancer Hospital was implemented.

Duke: In conjunction with the Duke Blood and Marrow Transplant Family Services Program, patients in the pediatric bone marrow transplant unit were afforded opportunities to find distraction from pain and seek well-being through involvement in the arts.

Assistance Given Nationally 2011

NTAF: Through the selfless efforts of Big Dave and through the generous work of his Foundation’s volunteers, $28,000 was raised and donated to the National Transplant Assistance Fund to help those in desperate financial need in the face of the exorbitant costs incurred by stem cell transplantation previously. In 2011, $3000 was donated to NTAF.

Romans 5:3-6    Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
